Excursion Programme

SBC Oxford Summer School is in the perfect, central location for our international students to experience all the exciting things the UK has to offer. Our excursion days provide a great opportunity for students to practise their communication skills and share memorable experiences with their friends.

Students will be taken on two full day excursions a week* and will experience exciting, cultural and interesting locations including:

*In departure week, there will be one full day excursion.


An exciting and fun day out discovering the fascinating world of lego at one of the best attractions in the UK. Legoland is a theme park dedicated to fun and adventure using lego. The park has over 55 interactive rides, shows and attractions offering something for everyone!

Cotswold Wildlife Park

Enjoy an exciting and fun day out discovering Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens! Students can explore over 260 animal exhibits, including tropical animals, rhinos and penguins. Students will enjoy a train ride around the park to see all the wildlife and visit the ‘Skymaze’ Adventure Playground with interconnecting treehouses and bridges. A fantastic day out!

SBC Oxford students stand in front of the Radcliffe camera

Oxford Day

A day getting to know the beautiful city of Oxford. Students will be introduced to many of Oxford’s famous buildings including The Radcliffe Camera and The Bridge of Sighs. After lots of photo opportunities and time for souvenir shopping, students will enjoy a traditional punting ride on the River Cherwell with their friends. This fun and inspirational day is made complete with a trip to the cinema.

Bristol & The Science Museum

Students will visit the vibrant waterside city of Bristol and enjoy exploring the state-of-the-art interactive science centre, We The Curious. Students will have lots of fun exploring the hundreds of hands-on interactive exhibits. The highlight of the day includes a stunning learning experience in the UK’s first 3D digital planetarium.

The day concludes with important time for souvenir shopping in the city with friends.

Warwick Castle

Students visit one of the UK’s most beautiful castles, to explore the grounds and relive history on this fun and cultural day. Throughout the day students will be immersed in one thousand years of jaw-dropping history at Warwick Castle; great battles, ancient myths, spellbinding tales, pampered princesses and heroic knights. The day includes watching a spectacular show such as birds of prey or a re-enactment with live actors and special effects.

Drayton Manor Theme Park

Drayton Manor is a theme park resort and zoo in beautiful grounds spanning 113 acres. The park has many fun and interactive rides as well as a zoo host to many animals and exhibits. This is a very exciting and fun day out for our students.
