Activity Manager
As an Activity Manager at SBC Oxford you will be responsible for the management, organisation and smooth running of the activity programme. Your role will involve managing and supporting the activity staff and ensuring students enjoy a wide variety of well-organised and well-executed activities..
Hours of Work
The Activity Manager will work six days out of seven and will have at least one full day off per week. Although the Activity Manager’s main responsibilities concern the activity programme, s/he will also be expected to be aware of and involved in all aspects of the management of the course.
Main areas of responsibility:
- Implementation and monitoring of the activity programme
- Liaising with the specialist activities coaching staff
- Supporting and managing the activity and teaching staff in all aspects of the activity programme
- Organising the Special Interest programmes
General Duties
In addition to coordinating and overseeing the successful implementation of the activity programme, you will also be involved in assisting with arrival and departure days as well as some evening activities and excursions. As a member of the management team you will be expected to have an awareness of all aspects of the management of the centre and to assist with pastoral and welfare duties as and where necessary. All members of staff are expected to engage with students in a friendly and professional manner at all times and to assist at anytime, whether on duty or not, with an emergency situation, or where a student is ill or injured.
