Day Trips
All our students enjoy two day trips each week*, visiting cultural sites as well as more light-hearted attractions. All of the trips last a full day, so there's plenty of time for them to experience everything. The attractions we offer at SBC Oxford are:
Chessington World of Adventures
A day at one of the UK's most popular theme parks. There is a fantastic variety of rides and entertainment at Chessington World of Adventures. The rides are suitable for all ages and whether you are taking a flight of fright on Vampire or twisting and turning through the spin-tastic Dragons Fury, Chessington World of Adventures has all the screams, thrills and spills an adventurer could wish for!
Warwick Castle & Stratford-upon-Avon
A day at one of the UK's most beautiful castles and a visit to the town where Shakespeare was born. On the edge of the enchanting town of Warwick, Warwick Castle is one of England's most historic castles. Only a short distance away, Stratford-upon-Avon is perhaps the perfect example of a historic English town.
Cadbury World & Birmingham
Cadbury World provides the unique experience of seeing first hand how the world famous Cadbury chocolate is made. This is one of our students' most popular day trips...perhaps this is because of the chocolate they get to taste. After the Chocolate factory, the students will visit Birmingham, the UK's second biggest city and explore the innovative 'ThinkTank' Museum
West Midlands Safari Park
Experience a close encounter with some of the world's most amazing animals in the drive through the West Midlands Safari Park. In addition to seeing animals from around the world, there are 30 rides for the students to enjoy in the amusement area
Bristol & the Science Museum
Enjoy a trip to At-Bristol, one of the UK's biggest and most exciting interactive science museums. With over 300 exhibits, a Planetarium Show and lots of hands-on fun, there is plenty to be discovered. Afterwards, students will spend an afternoon exploring this historic and vibrant waterside city.
*There will be one full day trip during the departure week.
